Did I Give it My best Shot in Light of Eternity

Eternity, Hope, LivingGrace is what makes us smile in spite of life challenges like; job loss, foreclosure, unpaid bills, addictions, unmet desires by a spouse, work, lust, love, separation, divorce, prayerlessness, powerlessness, people disappointing us, us disappointing people, unruly teens, bad parents, bad spouses, bad child to a parent.

Sure we want to give up but we mustn’t; our strength, our help, comes from God and from the people we meet who are a help to us.

Once every blue-moon someone will ask me how I do it.

I’m not sure how I do, did or continuing doing. Can I ask you a question, how do you do it?

One thing I know is, if I keep pressing forward and view everything in light of eternity I find calm and peace and strength for the next day.

If my child messes up and my body starts reacting, I’m better of viewing that in light of eternity, because if I don’t… I’m may lose it up in the house!

A friend, a co-worker, family member or even an enemy, pushes your button it’s better to think in terms of eternity.

Many of our big and terrifying problems become small when we leave it at the foot of the cross.

Everything left at the foot of the cross will move your gaze to something that’s bigger than you and at the end of the day, your thinking will change.

Questions like; did I do all I could have when it was the hardest to do, did I give it my best shot in light of eternity are a few ways your thinking will change.

Leave it at the foot of the cross and think in light of eternity!

Not Christian… replace eternity with “at the end of my life” and cross with “taking your shoes off” – giving it to a person you don’t know but who lives in a shelter and is shoeless… Just saying!!!

2 Peter 3:18

But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the honor both now and on that eternal day.

Sincerely in Joy,

Encouragement from an optimistic single mom.

Life changed for me in 2008, and since then it has been an adventure.
I have learnt to love the road I am on, and smell the roses while driving on it too.

I believe that standards of living can change without a moment’s notice, affecting our old way of life.

That Passion can die, and be reignited again.

I found my passion and It’s writing and the story behind it.

I’m super passionate about hospitality, leadership and finance.

I am a single mom of boys who wants to change the world through a smile and genuine service.

I own up to the fact that I make an awesome follower.

I encourage and I inspire. I write, I blog, sometimes – I lead well, and sometimes I follow badly. But the important thing is to get started.

I recently met Simon Sinek, the Start with Why Guy and and so continue to inspire the world.
