My Case Study on Simon Sinek, the Start with Why Guy – Led to a Chat with Him

I had the opportunity to meet the great mind in person on Thursday, October 27, 2016, at his book reading at the Barnes and Noble in New York. And I have my signed book and wall art to go with it.I am officially a Super FAN; well I was one before I met him, as a management, business and leadership junkie I was super excited to have met him. How do you learn from someone like Simon without being opportune enough to hang out in his immediate circle? My suggestion is to get as much of the…

No One Is Coming, You are The Only One That Can Save Yourself

No one Is Coming, You are The Only One That Can Save YourselfDon’t be silent because … Have you heard the saying that “good girls don’t make history” sometimes permission will entail you break some trust that you gave when you weren’t speaking up, it will make you push aside some conventional rules to create some unconventional new ones.It means you believe in what you are talking about or interested in so much you are willing to say “bye Felicia”; to people, places, and causes.Saving ourselves sometimes can’t be explained in words, only in…

All I did revolved around my kids; as I write it still does nothing has changed. The only difference is I intentionally create time for me now while I create time for them.I’m also comfortable with a house that’s not organized because I’m busy dreaming…

SUMMER FUN VS. CLEANING THE HOUSE

SUMMER is here…I think summer can’t exist without clear skies and farmers market, fresh produce, vendors and time spent as we move between vendor stalls. So, how are you spending summer? I believe as single moms we need to attempt to spend summer intentionally, having fun and making memories.Discovering new places in my neighbourhood and state or revisiting old ones, it’s celebrating, it’s rediscovering crafts and hobbies, discovering new foods and drinks, new art forms and artists it’s going to events and festivals both outdoor and indoor. It’s melodies, sounds, music, musicians…

Writing as A Dyslexic

For me the best and funny part about “Writing” before I knew I was terrible at grammar was that, by the time I realized I was crappy I was already too far gone to stop.We are in it together, the struggle of a dyslexic is the basic things that you take for granted; left/right, horizontal vertical, rows/columns. I struggle with directional words like; where/were, their/there, its/it’s etc and knowing when to put in commas, hyphens, period, b/d, lower case and uppercase and so many other things that are easy for everybody…
