On a good day...

Bonnie is a Reiki Master and she is the creator of Renew Body Sequence, a healing pattern of movement for students of all ability levels to safely advance their practice and feel completely alive in their bodies. Bonnie offers multiple yoga and aerial yoga classes per week as well as workshops, trainings, reiki sessions, numerology readings, and private yoga classes on-site.

Bonnie’s classes are a balance of physical body alignment and spiritual awareness. She is also a Hospice Music Therapist and mom to four growing boys.

Why the Grief Series Podcast? Why talk about grief?

Why the Grief Series Podcast? Why talk about grief? As early as March a lot of people lost someone they held dear to them, it wasn’t until October that I too was personally and permanently affected by a death. My life changed the day I found out my dad died. Like everything else I do, I decided I wanted to find out more and share my perspective and to hear from others. That’s how the grief series started, with one podcast episode as the goal, but as I spoke with people to find that one person to interview I quickly came to understand that GRIEF was very deep.

Bonnie Myah Wallace, she had gone through 2 miscarriages before she finally became a mom of 4 and 2 regular births and twin birth. I had Bonnie shared her experience and how she was able to heal herself. Apart from being a music therapist with Hospice experience which we dig into a bit, she is also a Yoga Educator, Reiki Master and as a Hospice Music Therapist, we discuss firsthand how Covid-19 has affected the patients in Hospice.

Who is today’s Podcast for, it really is for everyone who wants to find the tools to become better in all they do, to get to that higher version of themselves they were created to be? And this doesn’t mean that there is something wrong with those of us that aspire to be better, what we do know is that to do our highest work and to show up as our highest self we need to be self-aware.

A few of what we talked about?

  1. How do we sit with the dying and hold space for them.
  2. How should we process grief?
  3. I know what losing someone to death feels like, I know what a broken heart feels like … can you describe what a miscarriage feels like? Does miscarriage hurt, emotionally, physically, mentally?
  4. 3 things you’ve learnt about grief while working in the hospice setting.
  5. How did you discover your calling?

Encouragement from an optimistic single mom. Life changed for me in 2008, and since then it has been an adventure. I have learnt to love the road I am on, and smell the roses while driving on it too. I believe that standards of living can change without a moment’s notice, affecting our old way of life. That Passion can die, and be reignited again. I found my passion and It's writing and the story behind it. I'm super passionate about hospitality, leadership and finance. I am a single mom of boys who wants to change the world through a smile and genuine service. I own up to the fact that I make an awesome follower. I encourage and I inspire. I write, I blog, sometimes - I lead well, and sometimes I follow badly. But the important thing is to get started. I recently met Simon Sinek, the Start with Why Guy and and so continue to inspire the world. Email me for a free 20 minute chat or to help you on your way to your Why.
